Lake Tahoe Basin FIREFEST Returns Saturday, September 26, 2026 with a new location
at Heavenly CAL Base, Main Lodge
LAKE TAHOE BASIN, Calif./Nev. — The Lake Tahoe Basin FIREFEST is returning this year to a new location at the CAL Base, Main Lodge at Heavenly on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a fun, educational, and family-friendly day focused on fire safety, wildfire preparedness, emergency response, and protecting our Tahoe community.
FIREFEST brings together local, state, and federal agencies and community partners to give residents and visitors an opportunity to meet the people who work every day to protect the Lake Tahoe Basin.
This year’s event will feature a variety of hands-on demonstrations and activities, including: Burn House Sprinkler Demonstration, Smoke Trailer, Vehicle Extrication Demonstration, Ember House Toss, Bounce House And much more!
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from agencies and organizations throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin, including:

Fire safety and wildfire preparedness are a shared responsibility. Events like FIREFEST provide an opportunity for the community to learn practical steps they can take before an emergency occurs and to build relationships with the agencies that serve the Lake Tahoe Basin.
